“To Succeed, You Must Read” is the slogan that represents an effort to improve the literacy level in underserved communities in the Greater Twin Cities area. Proceeds from book sales through participating authors, and a percentage from sales of wristbands bearing the slogan “To Succeed, You Must Read” are being sold in order fund the U.L.A. (Urban Literacy Awareness) scholarship.
Our goal is to award at least one scholarship for the 2013-2014 school season.
Participants must e-mail 500 word essay sharing their suggestion on; "How to curb violence in inner city communities across America."
Applicants must be residents of the Greater Twin Cities area.
